What will I be doing there?

60 days before my departure they give me my exact itinerary but here are just a few of the things that I will be doing there. 

• Glide along the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, spanning 4.6 miles over a pristine tropical rainforest.

• Visit an animal sanctuary to see Australia’s diverse wildlife.

• Search Cairns’ night markets for a treasure to remember.

• Join in Aboriginal dance, boomerang-tossing, and spear-throwing at the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park.

• Immerse yourself in authentic Australian life during a stay on a working farm.

• Learn about the local Australian government during an official briefing with a government representative.

• Cuddle a koala, hold a young crocodile, or feed a wallaby at a wildlife sanctuary.

• Spelunk Olsen’s Capricorn Caves, and see their unspoiled splendor up close.

• Brave the dark with your guide as you explore a crocodile farm armed only with flashlights.

• Travel by ferry to your sand-island resort.

• Meet the local pod of bottlenose dolphins.

• Assist marine biologists with the dolphin research program, developed specifically for Student Ambassadors.

• Sail down sand dunes on a soaring toboggan!

• Snorkel the sparkling waters of the Great Barrier Reef. Understand this fragile ecosystem with instruction from your marine biologist.

• Go on a guided orientation of Brisbane. You’ll see significant sites such as South Bank, the Town Hall square, and the botanical gardens.

• Enjoy a backstage pass to the acoustic marvel that is the Sydney Opera House.

• Explore the Darling Harbour district, packed with shops, galleries, museums, and other attractions.

• Ace your surfing lessons, then try your skills by hitting the waves.

• Take a swing at cricket on the Sydney Cricket Sports Grounds, learning the history of this popular Aussie pastime.

• Gain a thrilling, bird’s-eye view of Sydney while anchored atop the Sydney Tower.
